1. NATURE AND SCOPE OF SERVICES

Cautopro Rentals, operated by Cautoprorentals LLC, offers rental services for goods and equipment which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Automobiles.

  • Sedans.

  • Economy vehicles.

  • SUVs.

  • Full-size vehicles.

  • Pickups and trucks.

  • Commercial/work vehicles.

  • Passenger vans.

  • Trailers.

  • Equipment and tools.

  • Accessories related to the items available for rent.

Availability depends on Cautopro’s inventory at the time of request.

The listing of a category, photo, description, or item on the website does not guarantee that the item will be available on a specific date.

Cautopro reserves the right to add, remove, substitute, or modify vehicles, trailers, equipment, rates, photos, and specifications as needed.

2. SERVICE AREA

Cautopro provides services in Bluffton, Beaufort, Hilton Head Island, and Hardeeville, South Carolina, and may serve other areas depending on the item rented, availability, and delivery or pickup arrangements.

The mention of a city or service area does not imply that Cautopro maintains a physical storefront open to the public in every location.

Pickup and delivery terms will be confirmed individually with the customer prior to finalizing the rental.

3. RENTAL REQUESTS

Customers may submit a rental request through the website or via communication channels provided by Cautopro.

Submitting a request does not constitute a confirmed reservation.

Upon receiving a request, Cautopro may contact the customer to confirm:

  • Requested item.

  • Availability.

  • Rental dates and duration.

  • Rates and pricing.

  • Security deposit.

  • Customer qualifications and requirements.

  • Pickup or delivery location and conditions.

  • Payment method.

  • Any additional applicable terms.

A reservation is considered confirmed only when Cautopro has explicitly accepted it.

4. CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS

Requirements vary depending on the type of item rented.

To rent a vehicle, the customer must meet the criteria established by Cautopro and applicable law, including, where applicable:

  • Possessing a valid and current driver’s license.

  • Presenting a valid government-issued photo ID.

  • Meeting the minimum age requirement for the vehicle.

  • Providing necessary information to verify identity and eligibility.

  • Complying with any additional requirements outlined in the agreement.

Additional drivers must be pre-authorized by Cautopro.

For specific trailers or equipment, Cautopro may require specific documentation, experience, licensing, towing capacity, a suitable tow vehicle, or other requirements.

5. RATES AND FEES

Published or quoted prices represent the rates applicable to the specified item and period, unless stated otherwise.

Before confirming a booking, Cautopro will disclose applicable fees.

Depending on the item and contract, additional fees may apply for:

  • Applicable taxes and mandatory fees.

  • Security deposits.

  • Excess mileage, where applicable.

  • Additional drivers.

  • Delivery or pickup services.

  • Fuel.

  • Excessive cleaning.

  • Late returns.

  • Tolls.

  • Fines and traffic violations.

  • Damages.

  • Lost keys.

  • Missing accessories.

  • Other fees specified in the agreement.

Cautopro will not apply fees prohibited by applicable law.

6. PAYMENTS

Currently, Cautopro does not require online payments to submit a rental request through the website.

Once a request is confirmed, Cautopro will inform the customer of:

  • The total amount due.

  • Payment schedule/due date.

  • Accepted payment methods.

  • Required security deposit, if applicable.

Available payment methods may vary depending on the item and rental terms.

Cautopro may introduce online payment systems in the future. If implemented, relevant terms will be communicated to the customer.

7. SECURITY DEPOSIT

Cautopro may require a security deposit before or during the rental period.

The deposit amount and conditions will be communicated prior to rental completion.

Where legally permitted and in accordance with the agreement, the deposit may be used to cover costs related to:

  • Damage to the rented item.

  • Missing parts or accessories.

  • Lost keys.

  • Unfilled fuel.

  • Excessive cleaning.

  • Tolls.

  • Fines or violations.

  • Late returns.

  • Other valid charges outlined in the contract.

Any card pre-authorizations or holds are subject to the procedures of the issuing financial institution.

8. INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

Cautopro will maintain required insurance coverage or financial responsibility for its vehicles and operations in compliance with applicable laws.

Renting an item does not automatically extend secondary insurance coverage or specific protection to the customer, unless explicitly stated in writing in the rental agreement.

When required, Cautopro may request details regarding the customer’s primary insurance coverage.

Coverage, limits, exclusions, and liabilities are governed by applicable policies and the rental contract.

Nothing in these Terms alters insurance policy terms or guarantees coverage that was not expressly purchased or provided.

9. VEHICLE USE

Vehicles may only be operated by the customer and pre-authorized additional drivers.

The customer agrees to:

  • Comply with all traffic laws.

  • Operate the vehicle safely and responsibly.

  • Follow manufacturer operating instructions.

  • Respect load and capacity limits.

  • Keep the vehicle reasonably protected against damage, theft, or misuse.

Prohibited uses include:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing substances.

  • Using the vehicle for illegal activities.

  • Allowing unauthorized individuals to drive.

  • Subleasing or transferring the vehicle.

  • Racing, speed testing, or competitive driving.

  • Off-road driving unless explicitly authorized.

  • Towing without explicit approval and proper setup.

  • Exceeding rated weight capacities.

  • Modifying the vehicle without written consent.

  • Reckless or abusive vehicle operation.

  • Crossing international borders without prior written authorization.

10. TRAILERS

Trailers must be used strictly according to their rated capacity, specifications, purpose, and restrictions outlined by Cautopro and the manufacturer.

The customer is responsible for utilizing a properly equipped and legally compliant tow vehicle.

Prior to operation, the customer must ensure:

  • Tow vehicle has adequate towing capacity.

  • Hitch is compatible and properly secured.

  • Electrical connections and lights function correctly.

  • Safety chains are properly connected.

  • Cargo is evenly distributed.

  • Cargo is securely tied down.

  • Load limits are strictly observed.

  • Compliance with all highway and safety laws.

Transporting hazardous materials, illegal cargo, or overloading the trailer is strictly prohibited.

The customer assumes responsibility for damages resulting from improper loading, overloading, misuse, or negligence, to the extent permitted by law.

11. EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, AND ACCESSORIES

Cautopro offers various tools, equipment, and accessories for rent.

Specific requirements and operating terms apply to each item.

The customer must use equipment solely for its intended purpose and in accordance with manufacturer or Cautopro instructions.

Prohibited actions include:

  • Modifying equipment.

  • Unauthorized disassembly.

  • Reckless or abusive operation.

  • Use for illegal activities.

  • Operation outside designed environmental conditions.

  • Permitting operation by unauthorized persons.

Equipment must be returned complete, clean, and in substantially similar condition as received, normal wear and tear excepted.

12. INSPECTIONS AND CONDITION REPORTS

Cautopro may inspect and document the condition of vehicles, trailers, or equipment prior to and following the rental period.

Condition may be documented via:

  • Photos.

  • Videos.

  • Written reports.

  • Mileage readings.

  • Fuel levels.

  • Physical inspection logs.

The customer must inspect the item upon receipt and report any unrecorded pre-existing damage.

New damages identified upon return will be assessed in accordance with the agreement and governing law.

13. ACCIDENTS, DAMAGE, THEFT, AND EMERGENCIES

The customer must immediately notify Cautopro of any accident, theft, significant damage, breakdown, fire, loss, or safety concern involving the item.

Where required, the customer must also file a report with local law enforcement authorities.

The customer shall not admit liability, settle claims, or authorize major repairs without Cautopro’s prior consent, except when necessary to protect life, personal safety, or prevent further damage.

14. GPS AND TELEMATICS

Vehicles, trailers, or equipment may feature GPS tracking devices, telematics, or related tech for theft prevention, asset recovery, fleet operations, maintenance diagnostics, or security.

Cautopro collects data generated by these systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant laws.

Where required by law, explicit notification or consent will be provided.

15. RETURNS

Rented items must be returned:

  • On the specified date.

  • At the agreed time.

  • To the designated location.

  • In substantially similar condition as received.

  • With all provided accessories and gear.

  • With keys and documentation.

  • Refueled to the agreed level, if applicable.

Late returns may incur additional charges.

Extensions must be requested and approved in advance.

16. FUEL POLICY

Where applicable, fuel levels are documented at pickup and return.

Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at the start of the rental.

Fuel shortfalls will result in a refueling charge according to rental terms.

17. CLEANING POLICY

Items must be returned in a reasonably clean condition.

Normal wear or routine dirt from authorized use is not considered excessive.

Cautopro reserves the right to apply a cleaning fee for excessive dirt, spills, biological waste, persistent odors, or hazardous materials requiring professional detailing.

18. TOLLS, FINES, AND PARKING

The customer is fully responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for all traffic fines, tolls, parking violations, and administrative penalties incurred during the rental period.

Cautopro may recover these costs along with reasonable administrative processing fees.

19. CANCELLATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS

Cancellation policies will be provided prior to booking confirmation.

Terms may vary based on:

  • Item category.

  • Rental duration.

  • Booking lead time.

  • Special promotional rates.

Modifications are subject to asset availability and rate adjustments.

20. INVENTORY AND AVAILABILITY

Cautopro reserves the right to update or adjust its rental fleet at any time.

Website images and descriptions serve informational purposes only.

The exact specs delivered will correspond to the specific item reserved and confirmed by Cautopro.

21. PERSONAL PROPERTY

Customers are responsible for removing all personal items before returning equipment or vehicles.

Cautopro is not responsible for lost, forgotten, or damaged personal belongings left inside rental units, except where required by law.

22. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Website content—including logos, trade names, photos, text, graphics, and software—is owned by or licensed to Cautoprorentals LLC.

Unauthorized reproduction, modification, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited without prior written consent.

23. PRIVACY

Personal information collected during booking or site use is handled according to the Cautopro Rentals Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these terms.

24. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cautopro is not liable for temporary website outages, technical glitches, communication failures, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

25. FORCE MAJEURE

Cautopro is not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, fires, accidents, government actions, service outages, labor disputes, or emergencies.

We will communicate impacts to bookings as soon as reasonably possible.

26. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS

The customer agrees to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws governing the operation of the vehicle, trailer, or equipment.

This includes traffic regulations, towing guidelines, safety standards, and commercial transit rules.

27. ITEM-SPECIFIC CONDITIONS

Certain items may carry additional specific conditions set by Cautopro.

These may involve:

  • Minimum age requirements.

  • Specific driver’s license endorsements.

  • Deposit variations.

  • Mileage caps.

  • Load/tow limits.

  • Tow vehicle specifications.

  • Geographical restrictions.

  • Minimum rental durations.

  • Insurance requirements.

Specific terms will be disclosed before completing the rental agreement.

28. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina.

Legal claims relating to a rental are subject to the applicable rental agreement and the court jurisdiction established by law.

29. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

Cautopro may update these Terms as needed due to operational, legal, or technology changes.

The current version will be posted online with the update date.

Confirmed reservations remain governed by the terms agreed upon at the time of contract execution, unless law mandates otherwise.
